After the enormous success of his North American concert tour, Sting is taking his “Back To Bass Tour” to Europe in Spring. On the 25th year anniversary of his solo career, the musical focus returns to the bass – all hits are reduced to their unique core and will be presented as pristinely as they haven't been in years. In Germany and Austria, the Back To Bass Tour visits Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Köln, Stuttgart and Berlin. Sting is being accompanied by a five-member band consiting of his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, Rufus Miller (guitar), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Peter Tickell (e-violin) and vocalist Jo Lawry.
As a tribute to Sting: 25 Years, the recently released box set collection, Back To Bass's live program includes many of the songs of his dynamic and long-lasting solo career: his 1985 debut “The Dream Of The Blue Turtles”, his latest release, “Live in Berlin”, and selected greatest hits of The Police. Among Sting's greatest hits are hymns like “Desert Rose”, “Every Breath You Take” and “Fields Of Gold”.
Sting: 25 Years is the first collection that includes mile stones and rarities of Sting's solo career. It consists of three CDs that have been selected by Sting himself and re-mastered exclusively for this project. In addition, the box includes the unreleased DVD “Rough, Raw & Unreleased” that was shot on New York City's Irving Plaza. The collection contains an illustrated book with rare photos, complete lyrics and an accompanying text written by Sting.
