It’s a union of giants: guitar hero Eric Clapton meets Steve Winwood, one of the most distinctive voices of rock history. Two legends, one live experience! Together, Clapton and Winwood gave a concert that is already considered a milestone of rock history at Madison Square Garden. Finally, they are coming to Austria for a concert in Vienna!
On 7 June 2010, Eric Clapton an Steve Winwood will be rocking the Stadthalle – a sensation reminiscent of the legendary Cream reunion at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2005: the live collaboration of ERIC CLAPTON and STEVE WINWOOD that rocked the Madison Square Garden in February 2009. Fourty years after Blind Faith, two of the best instrumentalists of rock history shared one stage again, performing classics such as J.J. Cale’s “Cocaine”, “After Midnight”, the Blind Faith classics “Had To Cry Today” and “Presence Of The Lord”, Winwood’s “Low Down” an a 16-minute version of Hendrix’ “Voodoo Chile”. The London concert was followed by a tour through America and Great Britain, with side trips to Japan and Australia. Finally, the trio is coming to Austria as well!
