Kawasaki 3P is a Zagreb-based punk-rock band formed in 1993, known for its high-energy performances, tongue-in-cheek humor, and a distinctive blend of punk, ska, and reggae infused with barroom poetry. They began their musical journey in the late 1990s with demos and club gigs, gaining national attention in 2003 after a provocative appearance at Dora with their song “Antonija.”
Their self-titled debut album Kawasaki 3P, released the same year, won multiple awards and helped establish them as a major voice in Croatian alternative music. The singles “Antonija,” “Snifa san glu,” and “Kak si, pa tak” quickly became cult favorites. Their sophomore album Idu Bugari (2009) became one of the best-selling domestic albums, earning them album of the year accolades and multiple awards. Hits like “Puta Madre,” “Ni da ni ne,” and “Niskarastaman” helped solidify their reputation.
Their third studio album, Goli zbog pasa (2015), was praised as their strongest work yet. Promotion included intimate performances and a sold‑out show at Zagreb’s Tvornica kulture. In 2018, they celebrated their 25th anniversary with two electric nights at Teatar &TD, followed by a live album release 25 godina x Teatar &TD Live. Kawasaki 3P have since headlined major regional festivals including InMusic, Exit, and Skaville.
With a lineup featuring vocals by Tomislav Vukelić “Tomfa,” guitarists Toni Babarović and Davor Viduka, bassist Mario Boršćak, drummer Nikola Babić, and horn players Igor Pavlica and Stipe Mađor, the band's use of saxophone and trumpet along with punk riffs gives them a distinctive edge. Over three decades later, they continue to captivate audiences with spirited shows that are guaranteed to get crowds dancing, singing, and roaring with laughter.
